so I just finished my first pro gig as member of the pit orchestra in the middle school production of the sound of music. it was actually quite good, but funny when they messed up. good recoveries.
it is now official: the orchestral version of break a leg is 'poke an eye out'. because bows are sharp and pointy.
I've been singing the sound of music straight for maybe a week now. so it's been pretty intense. i think i managed to get most of the songs from the musical stuck in most of my friend's heads. lol.
Ok, so I'm a swimmer for my school, and I just swam a couple of relays at the last meet (nothing huge, at least I thought) It was a co-ed meet, meaning my relays were all guys...and me. (Imagine 3 towering 6 foot muscle guys and one 5'1 girl...) I swam the 200 medley relay (each person does a 50 of different strokes), the 200 free relay (everybody does a 50 freestyle), and the 400 free relay(everybody does a 100 freestyle), AND I found out today that me and the guys for the medley relay BROKE THE SCHOOL RECORD!!! no joke!
\(^,^)/ I'm so happy!
*does a dance* My name's going in the books!
AND it pretty much cemented my place in the meets...the next one I'm swimming 4 events (unheard of for a newb) 2 of which are individual. YES!
btw, did anyone see the How I Met Your Mother on Monday? Hilarious (as was the Robin Sparkles one). At one point, Barney sneezes, and Robin says, "You're sick." He replies, "No, that's just an overflow of awesomeness needing to be released." BRILLIANT!
